Typically, we ask patients to assess their pain level, and consistently, all patients have reported their pain level between 0 and 1 on a scale from 0 to 10.

There are limitations to the amount of fatty tissue that can be safely removed from the body in a single liposuction procedure. One way to gauge this for yourself is to stand and bend from the waist. The amount of 'loose-hanging' fat that you can easily grab above/below your waist will approximate what can be removed by VASER Lipo. It's essential to note that this procedure is not designed as a weight-loss solution; instead, the objective is to craft a slimmer silhouette.
The timeline for noticing results depends on the extent of the liposuction procedure, including factors such as the amount of fat removed and the number of sites treated. The primary treatment for Gynecomastia is Male Breast Liposuction. Depending on the type and amount of fatty or glandular tissue, two treatment options are available. Liposuction, with a smaller scar typically located on the outside edge of the breast, is preferred by most patients due to minimal scarring. Direct Excision with Liposuction involves a larger incision around the areola, approximately 1-1/2 inches. This method allows for the removal of a larger volume of fat or glandular tissue and is used in combination with liposuction for smoothing edges using the "feathering" technique.
Dr. Hanna will discuss the best treatment option based on the amount of tissue that needs removal. Male Breast Liposuction alone can sometimes be more challenging for extracting all fat/glandular tissue.
After the surgery, you will be given a compression vest to wear, effectively reducing swelling. The removal of fatty and glandular tissue creates dead space, which the compression vest helps minimize.
Most patients return to work in two days after the surgery. Medical excuse letters for work are available upon request.
